Cogito.Today

Developing abilities. Realizing talents. A future built on developed thinking.

Who we are

We are ordinary people, working for ordinary people who are looking for an intellectual profession or pursuing personal growth. The Cogito.Today team brings together professionals in pedagogy, psychology, HR/recruiting, leadership, and digital technology — all of us care deeply about the future of young people. Decades of experience and exploration are distilled into our products.

Our goals

  • 01 Give every young person an accessible way — alone or with professionals — to identify, develop, and realize their abilities, sharpen thinking, and grow soft skills.
  • 02 Cover EU youth with testing and development services within five years.
  • 03 Slow the decline of intellectual potential among youth through development tools and engagement with intellectual professions.
  • 04 Normalize career-orientation tools in business and education.

Strategic principles

Six foundations we build the company around.

01 — Strategic principles — Mission

Mission

Supporting young people's ability and talent development, and informed career thinking.

What matters to us

We start from a simple premise: gifted children and talented young people are not “special” — they are simply different. Every person has natural aptitudes; we help recognize them and grow them into abilities a person can realize in their own life. Cogito.Today’s mission is to make this path more accessible:

  1. Supporting every young person’s ability development — career-orientation diagnostics, educational programs, and informational recommendations for next steps.
  2. Supporting the intellectual potential of youth through development of thinking, soft skills, and learning habits.
  3. Helping with informed career choice — structured materials and career-orientation recommendations that the person and their family can use in their own decision.

We believe investing in young people’s intellectual development is a strategic contribution to a more sustainable and successful society.

02 — Strategic principles — Vision

Vision

Embedding talent identification and development tools into education and business.

Where we are heading

We believe that intellectually developed people with critical thinking who find fulfillment in their own lives are an important foundation for a better future of society.

We work to be a useful support in developing abilities, information hygiene, and informed career decisions for young people.

Our vision: career-orientation and educational tools become a natural part of school and university practice, as well as the hiring process. So that a young person can orient themselves in their own abilities and available professional paths earlier and more deliberately.

As we grow, we aim to build cooperation with international centers and talent-support networks — including the European Talent Support Network and centers like Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth — and to bring the Ukrainian audience closer to the corresponding international experience, exchange programs, and scholarship opportunities.

03 — Strategic principles — Values

Values

Three behavioral standards that define how we work every day.

How we behave

Values are not declarations — they are behavioral standards: what is acceptable, what isn’t, and what gets rewarded. We hold three of them — few enough to actually work.

Honesty

Honesty with the young people we work with, with our partners, and with each other. If a method isn’t accurate enough, we say so. If a test result is uncomfortable, we don’t soften it. We show data as it is.

Long-term ownership

We don’t accompany young people through a single test — we accompany them through life. Every product decision is checked against how it will affect a person five or ten years from now, not just today.

Respect for our own and others’ time

Time is the scarcest resource of a young person. We don’t ask users, partners, or colleagues for more than is necessary — and we hold ourselves to the same standard. Short forms, clear conclusions, meetings with an agenda.

04 — Strategic principles — Operating principles

Operating principles

The practical layer — how we act day to day.

How we act

Operating principles are more practical than values. They answer: “How do we operate day to day?”

Data over opinions

Every claim about users, methodology, or the product is checked against data — test results, validation studies, longitudinal monitoring. Intuition is useful for forming hypotheses, but decisions are made on what we can measure.

Accuracy over speed

We work with young people at a pivotal moment — choosing a profession. If we are not confident in the quality of the implementation, we’d rather delay a release and refine the method than ship something fast but shaky. “Fast and approximate” does not apply here.

AI-first in daily work — with a scientific foundation for content and decisions

We use AI as the default tool in daily work: for analysis, prototyping, drafting materials. But no piece of content or conclusion the user sees ships without a deep scientific foundation: classic validated assessments, peer-reviewed research, and expert verification by the team. More precisely, we create and use hybrid intelligence to develop young talent.

05 — Strategic principles — Management philosophy

Management philosophy

Distributed decisions, autonomous aligned teams, a leader who coaches.

How we lead

Distributed decision-making

Decisions are made by the people closest to the problem. Before that, we consult inside the team and across tracks — psychology/pedagogy and technology — so the decision accounts for both method and implementation. No higher-level decision is taken without involving the people who will execute it.

Teams are autonomous, but aligned

The psychology/pedagogy track and the technology track operate autonomously — each team decides how to reach its goal. Alignment is held by a shared strategy, milestones, and recorded decisions, not by micro-management. One source of truth, shared deadlines, mirrored expectations.

A leader is a coach, an inspirer, and support

A leader is not a controller. A leader sets the frame (“where we are heading and why”), helps remove blockers, asks questions instead of handing down answers, and is accountable for the growth of people on the team. If a leader starts deciding instead of the team — that is a signal something is broken.

06 — Strategic principles — Positioning

Positioning

Who we are for

Our primary user is a young person aged 14–25, together with their parents or legal guardians who help with the choice of further education or profession. Alongside them: educators and HR professionals who use career-orientation tools in study or work environments.

What sets us apart

Classical science combined with modern technology. Our diagnostics are built on recognized career-orientation and psychometric methods, adapted for a Ukrainian-speaking audience. Digital delivery of results and AI-driven analytics are for user convenience — not a substitute for the method.

Decades of team experience. The founders bring 30+ years of work in professional selection and 20+ years of observing the development of gifted children. This experience is built into the structure of our questionnaires, interpretations, recommendations, and educational materials.

Full-cycle support. We combine testing, educational and developmental programs, consultations, and ongoing ability development into one journey — so the user receives not only a test result but useful informational recommendations for next steps.

A holistic approach. We consider not only cognitive abilities but also personal characteristics. Technology is a tool, not a goal. Intellect is a component of personality; personality does not exist without intellect.

Ukrainian-audience focus. We have done substantial work adapting interpretations, reference data, and terminology for the Ukrainian audience — and we keep doing it in every new tool and test we ship.

What we offer and what we do not promise

Cogito.Today is an online career-orientation testing service with digital report delivery and educational and developmental materials. Test results have an informational, career-orientation character and serve as support for the user’s own decision — the decision always remains with the user and their family.

We do not provide medical, psychiatric, or clinical diagnosis, and we do not replace a doctor’s, psychologist’s, or psychiatrist’s consultation. We do not promise employment, a specific academic outcome, or any guaranteed life results.

The service is intended for users aged 14 and above. For minors, parental or legal-guardian consent is required; payment is made by an adult.

The problem we focus on

Young people often make career choices with a limited view of their own abilities (including hidden ones) and the available professional paths — especially regarding future-facing careers. We provide an accessible digital journey that helps them think through that choice and integrates into school and business practice as part of the career-orientation process.
